Sunesis is dedicated to advancing oncology treatment. We want to partner with patients, their caregivers, and their health care providers to bring better therapies to people who need them.
Being informed about your own health and working as a partner with your health care providers will ensure that you receive the best treatment and most positive outcome.
Sunesis understands that patients need information and that this vital information is sometimes hard to find. Below, we offer links to several websites as a starting point for patients and families to gather key facts about cancer and to find support through advocacy groups.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - this site provides key information on leukemias, lymphomas and myeloma as well as resources serving patients and families.
National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) - the NOCC provides education and increases awareness about ovarian cancer for both the general population and the medical community. There are local NOCC chapters throughout the U.S.
Patient Advocate Foundation - a national non-profit organization that provides patients information concerning access to care, effective medications, maintenance of employment, and preservation of financial stability.
Patient Advocacy Resources - a guide for patients and their families that offer Internet websites and print resources on topics such as Patient Advocacy, Finding or Forming a Self-Help Group, Patient Rights and Privacy, and more.
National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) - the NCCS provides publications, newsletters, education to reduce the stigma of cancer, and advocacy for employment, legal rights, and insurance for people suffering from cancer.
Center Watch - this site provides a listing of clinical studies with additional key information about clinical trials and participating in them.
